Hello [Recipient First Name],
This week, a little Christian worldview literary analysis. I assigned Longfellow's Evangeline to our first year Wisdom students, but it's not being assigned to them as an example of literary excellence. No, despite the beautiful artistry of the writing and the interesting historical setting, Evangeline is being assigned to our students as a study in worldview and literary analysis!
What is the author teaching his readers? What lessons will my children learn from from this book, without even realizing they are being taught them?
In this issue's Article Spotlight, join me as we dive into a little literary analysis for parents, to help us learn how to evaluate the books we give our children to read.
May the Lord grant you joy and faith in your homeschooling endeavors, and bless you work with success, according to Pslam 90: "Direct thou the work of our hands upon us, even direct the work of our hands!"
Grace & peace to you,
Robyn van Eck
