Hello [Recipient First Name],
Wisdom crieth aloud!
I may not be speaking from out in the wilderness like John the Baptist, but still, from our home out in the pleasant country of northeast Texas, I have a message which will sound strange—very different from what you would hear in a typical high school… and even strange-sounding in the most of the conservative Christian homeschool world!
Are all aspirations equal?
Is it equally good for a young man to shrug off schoolwork, knowing that there are plenty of jobs he can get without it, as it is for a young man to push himself hard in his schoolwork, in hopes of pursuing a higher career? Not with the goal of becoming rich or famous for his own pride, mind you—but filled with the desire to do the most good for the glory of God that he may, during his short life on earth?
In our Article Spotlight, we consider these questions, addressed To Young Men; I think you'll find it great food for thought. Lord willing, next week we'll also consider these things for young women.
I pray God blesses you and your homeschool with the riches of his wisdom, by his wonderful grace!
Grace & peace to you,
Robyn van Eck
