Hello [Recipient First Name],
I promised you'd get the other half of the story this week.
Last week, we considered whether it is equally good for a young man to shrug off schoolwork, knowing that there are plenty of jobs he can get without it, as it is for a young man to push himself hard in his schoolwork, in hopes of pursuing a higher career?
Submitted to the overarching goal of glorifying God, we asked, Are all aspirations equal?
In our Article Spotlight this week, we consider these things for the young ladies. Should a young woman pursue high education? If she is excelling in her education, what sorts of professions would she do well to aim for?
Before I sign off, thank you, to those who responded with such positive feedback last week. I've never mentioned it in a newsletter before, but it's a huge encouragement when you guys comment on the articles, reply to the emails, etc. When we send these out, it feels like the words just disappear into the ether. (I figure that's the natural thing to imagine.) But every, Wow, that was so helpful! is such an incredible shot in the arm! (And now I'm realizing, as someone who does not vaccinate her children, that the expression "shot in the arm" does not speak so well to my point as it once did.) You get the idea. To everyone who's reached out—past or present—thank you. You make a huge difference.
I'm praying that the Lord blesses your homeschool with his grace, favor, and wisdom.
Grace & peace to you,
Robyn van Eck
